What is it? / Overview
Vitamin B6 is essential for amino acid metabolism, neurotransmitter production, and red blood cell formation. Supplementation effectively treats deficiency and is routinely recommended with isoniazid therapy and for pregnancy-related nausea per established guidelines.

Chronic doses above 100 mg/day can cause sensory neuropathy. Pyridoxine routinely prescribed with isoniazid.
