What is it? / Overview
Shilajit is a mineral-rich resin used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine. Early human studies suggest possible improvements in testosterone, fatigue, and mitochondrial function, but evidence is still limited and product quality is a major concern since some preparations contain heavy metals or other contaminants.
How is it used? / Administration
Form: Purified resin standardized for fulvic acid (typically ≥20% fulvic acids)
Typical dose studied: 250–500 mg/day
Timing: Morning with meals
CRITICAL: choose only purified products with third-party heavy metal testing. Quality control is the primary safety concern with this supplement.
How well does it work? / Evidence

Who should avoid it?
