What is it? / Overview
Wellness uses some people report: reversing aging and extending lifespan. This is anecdotal, and there isn't strong clinical evidence that it works for everyone. Nicotinamide riboside is a precursor to NAD+ that reliably increases NAD+ levels in humans. While NR increases NAD+ evidence that this translates into meaningful improvements in healthy aging, physical performance, or cognition remains limited.
How is it used? / Administration
Form: Nicotinamide riboside chloride
Typical dose studied: 250–500 mg/day (up to 1,000 mg/day studied)
Timing: Morning with or without food
Human evidence supports NAD+ increases but not consistent clinical outcomes yet. More robust evidence needed.
How well does it work? / Evidence
? Emerging / limited evidence
Who should avoid it?
Avoid with: Breastfeeding
Already taking it? Reassess benefit after 2–3 months. Objective clinical benefits remain uncertain in healthy adults.
