The cheapest product is usually low quality, but more expensive doesn’t always mean better.

What is it? / Overview
Moringa leaf polyphenols and isothiocyanates inhibit carbohydrate-digesting enzymes and improve insulin sensitivity and glucose uptake while reducing oxidative stress and inflammatory cytokines -- small human trials support modest glycemic, lipid, and blood-pressure benefit, though most mechanistic detail still comes from animal studies.
How is it used? / Administration
Form: Moringa oleifera leaf powder (capsules) or ethanolic leaf extract -- leaf specifically, not root or bark
Typical dose studied: ~400 mg-2.4 g/day leaf powder
Timing: With meals for the postprandial-glucose effect
The leaf (the supplement form) is well tolerated and nutrient-dense; the pregnancy caution associated with moringa specifically applies to root/bark preparations, not leaf.
How well does it work? / Evidence
? Emerging / limited evidence
Who should avoid it?
Interacts with: Insulin, sulfonylureas -- additive hypoglycemia risk; Antihypertensives -- theoretical additive blood-pressure lowering
Already taking it? Reasonable to continue -- small human RCTs (mostly in prediabetes/T2DM) show real if modest glycemic and lipid benefit, though the evidence base is still limited in size. Stick to leaf-based products; root and bark are a different, traditionally abortifacient part of the plant.
