Wellness uses some people report: breast health and radiation protection. This is anecdotal, and there isn't strong clinical evidence that it works for everyone. Iodine is required for thyroid hormone production. Supplementation is appropriate when dietary intake is insufficient but excessive intake can also disrupt thyroid function.

Timing: With or without food
More iodine is not better. Most people in the US get adequate iodine from iodized salt and dairy.
