What is it? / Overview
Wellness uses some people report: clearing 'zombie' senescent cells (a senolytic) and slowing aging. This is anecdotal, and there isn't strong clinical evidence that it works for everyone. Fisetin is a flavonoid antioxidant that lowers reactive oxygen species and, in laboratory models, clears senescent cells (senolysis), extending lifespan in invertebrates such as C. elegans -- but human clinical trials of fisetin for healthy aging are still in progress, so this remains a promising research direction rather than a proven intervention.
How is it used? / Administration
Form: Fisetin (flavonoid from strawberry, apple, onion)
Typical dose studied: No validated human dose -- senolytic research protocols use high, intermittent 'hit-and-go' dosing extrapolated from animal work, not a daily wellness dose
Timing: Not established for standalone wellness use
Human data are essentially absent -- a reduced-fertility trade-off has been observed in model organisms, worth noting even though direct human relevance is unknown.
How well does it work? / Evidence
? Emerging / limited evidence
Who should avoid it?
Avoid with: Bleeding disorder / Coagulopathy
Interacts with: Anticoagulants -- theoretical additive bleeding risk
Already taking it? Human clinical data are essentially absent -- trials are still ongoing. Generally well tolerated short-term at typical supplement doses, but this is early-stage science, not an established longevity intervention.
