Citrulline increases nitric oxide production more effectively than oral arginine improving blood flow and potentially increasing training volume and reducing post-exercise soreness.
How is it used? / Administration
Form: L-citrulline or citrulline malate (2:1)
Typical dose studied: 6–8 g L-citrulline or 8 g citrulline malate
Timing: 30–60 minutes before exercise
Products should clearly state actual citrulline content. Malate form may provide additional energy substrate.
