Bee pollen contains proteins, polyphenols, and flavonoids with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity in laboratory models, but an umbrella review found no reliable clinical evidence of benefit for non-allergic conditions in humans -- meanwhile, real hazards (severe allergic reactions, and contamination with pesticides, heavy metals, or pyrrolizidine alkaloids) are well documented.
