Muscle & StrengthRecoveryAthletic Performance
CJC-1295 is a long-acting synthetic GHRH analogue designed to increase endogenous GH and IGF-1.
Mechanism of action: Long-acting GHRH receptor agonist; Increases pulsatile GH secretion; Raises circulating IGF-1 for several days
Proposed indications: Adult GH deficiency; Recovery from intense exercise; Muscle preservation; Body composition; Healthy aging
Reported dosing range*: 30 or 60 mcg/kg, subcutaneous (single ascending-dose study)
A pharmacokinetic study of this long-acting, DAC-conjugated form (half-life approximately 5.8-8.1 days) evaluated single ascending subcutaneous doses, identifying 30 and 60 mcg/kg as particularly well-tolerated (Teichman SL et al. (2006). Prolonged Stimulation of Growth Hormone and Insulin-Like Growth Factor I Secretion by CJC-1295, a Long-Acting Analog of GH-Releasing Hormone, in Healthy Adults. Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism). This is a pharmacology study, not an efficacy trial for any specific outcome.
*General range reported in available research or other sources -- not an individualized recommendation. Actual use should be supervised by a qualified provider.
Typical clinical dosing schedule: No approved dosing regimen exists. Clinical studies have evaluated intermittent administration under research protocols.
Administration: Subcutaneous injectionNo approved dosing regimen exists

? Emerging / limited evidence
An "emerging / limited evidence" rating means rigorous research hasn't caught up yet -- not that this peptide doesn't work. Many peptides in this category are newer or simply understudied rather than proven ineffective.
Evidence rating: ⭐⭐☆☆☆Human studies demonstrate increased GH and IGF-1, but there is little evidence for meaningful clinical outcomes.
Landmark trials: Teichman SL, et al. (2006) — Demonstrated sustained GH and IGF-1 elevation following administration of CJC-1295 in healthy adults.
Common side effects: Injection-site reactions, Flushing, Headache, Water retention
Serious risks: Unknown long-term safety; Elevated IGF-1; Glucose intolerance; Possible increased cancer risk with chronic IGF-1 elevation
Monitoring: IGF-1, Blood glucose, Blood pressure, Clinical adverse effects
Legal status: Not FDA-approved for human use. This is a research compound, not a medication — any use should only occur under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider, and its legal availability varies and changes frequently. Verify current status independently before considering use.
Regulatory status: Research peptide • Not FDA approved
Contraindications: Unknown due to lack of approved labeling. Avoid use in:; Active cancer; Pregnancy; Severe endocrine disorders unless under specialist care
Pregnancy & breastfeeding: Avoid.
